Changing the perception of mental health. Through sharing stories.

Join the Sanctus Community for a unique evening of inspiring stories from people who are open about their personal story of how they’ve worked with their mental health, to become the best versions of themselves.

This event will have energy like no other; will incite curiosity and leave you feeling inspired.

Sereena Abbassi (speaker) Sereena will be talking about her families journey through the mental health system and Dr Joy Degruy's work on inherited trauma. Sereena feels that the only way for us to remove the stigma, the shame, that surrounds mental health in the UK — is for us to share, and to share frequently. Sereena Abbassi is Head of Culture & Inclusion for the M&C Saatchi Group. Where she is committed to creating organisational transformation that is grounded in creative and strategic thinking. Sereena is also the Founder of All Here: a social enterprise that connects individuals, brands and agencies; supporting them to think more critically about the world and the work that they create.

Tom Cotterill (speaker) Tom will be talking about his battles with depression and anxiety, stemming from a childhood trauma which manifested into adulthood. Tom is very much a work in progess, so this won’t be a talk about someone who is completely over his battle with depression but someone who is working to deal with it in and out of the workplace and live life to the fullest. He’ll also discuss strategies on how he primes his mind for a successful day and builds momentum to keep in a good place.

Open Mic / Q&A

There will be an open mic slot for anyone in the audience who feels inspired to share their own story or if anyone would like to ask any questions.
